The most unique massage studio in san antonio, tx
San Antonio Massage, LLC is comprised of a group of like-minded therapists housed in, and affiliated with, Perry Dental Health. The therapists of San Antonio Massage are focused on healing through therapeutic massage modalities such as deep tissue and Thai Massage.
We are not a conventional spa with the traditional day spa amenities but rather focus on developing relationships with our clients in order to lead them to physical well-being.
Being housed in a health care setting, we have access to the knowledge of other trained health professionals and have a network of relationships upon which we rely.
We have found the relationship with Dr. Christopher Perry and the Perry Dental Health team to be invaluable as Dr. Perry's practice has a strong focus on both dental and systemic health, as well as TMJ, headache, migraine, and sleep apnea. We work hand in hand with Dr. Perry and his team when our clients have need of his unique services.
In our practice you receive exactly the number of minutes for which you reserve. A 60 minute treatment is 60 minutes and all other treatments are given their full time. Adequate time is always allowed for you to explain your needs to your therapist and to have a review of the session and the therapist's findings. We work on the same protocol as a health care environment, keeping copious records of treatments rendered, and clinical findings, to aid in future visits. You will never be treated as just another client.
We invite you to come see the San Antonio Massage difference.
MEET OUR MASSAGE THERAPISTS
Rose graduated from Academy for Massage Therapy Training in 2007 and is now furthering her experience with San Antonio Massage. Rose loves helping people through the art of healing touch and her massage styles range from relaxation to deep tissue and trigger point to TMJ/headache therapy. Rose is also certified in Ashiatsu Therapy and Thai; these modalities give her the advantage of using her feet to massage the deeper layers in the muscle tissue. The ability to assist a person in their healing process, may it be through stress reduction, pain relief, or helping them connect with their body through self-empowerment for a healthier life is what Rose finds so rewarding about massage therapy.
Rachel has a well-rounded knowledge of the body. She has been certified in personal training since 2006, Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist since 2010, and a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2012. While Rachel's massage styles range from relaxation to deep tissue, she specializes in treating people who suffer from chronic headaches and migraines and neck, jaw, and TMJ pain. With Rachel's nurturing personality, clients experiencing anxiety, nervous tension, or PTSD do especially well in this safe, professional, and relaxing environment.
Most TMJ and headache issues stem from the muscles of the head and neck related to chewing, speaking and breathing. In conjunction with Dr. Chris Perry of Perry Dental Health, we have developed a protocol that not only utilizes traditional massage therapies, but also medical modalities such as ultrasound and cold laser therapy. We often call upon Dr. Perry for consultation to see if there is a dental and functional component to the issue. Rest assured, you will not find a more comprehensive approach to TMJ and headache therapy in San Antonio, TX.
MAT & TABLE THAI MASSAGE
This unique massage is performed in comfortable clothing such as a t-shirt and stretchable pants. Our massage therapist will then use her hands and feet to compress and release tense muscles. The pressure from Thai massage is not as intense as deep tissue, but highly effective when desiring to relieve muscle tension. Thai Massage can be performed on a mat on the floor or on a table. Each method on the mat or the table will give you an intense stretch to relieve pain and discomfort. This type of massage is recommended for those who enjoy deep or heavy pressure massages.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
The recommended massage for those who suffer from chronic muscle tension. Deep tissue massage targets the deep layers of the tense muscles to relieve stress. After identifying your stiff spots, your massage therapist will use different methods to release the tensed muscles. This massage can be moderate to very intense pressure.
Swedish massage involves the use of hands, forearms or elbows to manipulate the superficial layers of the muscles to improve mental and physical health. The benefits of Swedish massage include increased blood circulation, mental and physical relaxation, decreased stress and muscle tension, and improved range of motion.
TRIGGER POINT MASSAGE
Throughout our body we create adhesions also known as Trigger Points. These trigger points in your body are built by stress or over-use of muscle groups which can cause stiffness, discomfort or a shorter range of motion. Our therapists can target your muscle groups to release the build of trigger points to keep your body relaxed and comfortable during every day activities.
HOT STONE MASSAGE
Hot Stone massage is used with flat warmed stones that are placed on your back and other areas of your body that suffer from pain. Our massage therapists sanitizes the stones and place them in areas with muscle tension, joint pain or injuries. Hot stone massage is known for releasing muscle pain and increasing blood circulation which promotes mental and physical health. Before scheduling your hot stone massage, please consult with your doctor if you're pregnant, have high blood pressure or are a diabetic.
The doTERRA AromaTouch Technique is a clinical approach to applying eight specific essential oils and blends. This technique helps promote relaxation, stress relief, offer immune support, and decrease pain and inflammation. The oils are applied along energy lines and reflexology points, which aid in stimulating homeostasis and balance throughout the body.
